History of Chapel

Saint James English Evangelical Lutheran Church as dedicated on 3/9/1902.  It was also known as the Smelter Church, First Swedish Lutheran Church, Ruston Chapel, and Ruston Lutheran Church.

In 1975 it turned into an antique shop called Anchor Antiques and then in August of 2003 became Ruston Blessings another antique store.

In June of 2006 it became Divine Elegance Wedding Chapel and in October of 2010 Eric and Julie Swenson purchased the venue.

Today it is a premier wedding spot in Pierce County.
